“Interferenza” consists on a redevelopment project of a surplus in Varese, starting from defining provocative strategy. Interference is a sine qua non condition to give value to what survives: here the element of hindrance allows to do a different experience of creating leftovers new shapes and optical illusions.
A video concept, inspired to Andy Wharol’s performance of 1982, was designed to introduce (in this case) the controversial dimension of a typical action with elements of interruption/chaos.
As reflection of our contemporary world, actions & words out of the ordinary should be depicted nowadays as sign of revolution.
“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act ” _1984, George Orwell
Interference, frequency, sound, word… Keywords that immediately led to the redevelopment of the space as Radio, a loud and contraceptive voice embedded in the Varese Context, which takes shape into a disruptive Italian audio concept.
Thus was born Radio Roccolo, a space that aims to suspend the noise of the contemporary world, allowing people to rediscover the deeper meaning of the word, breaking the silence.
The radio thus becomes the antenna of the city, capable of attracting locals, establishing the redevelopment of additional urban leftovers, such as newsstands and telephone booths now considered waste of yesteryear.
